Patty, thats a fairly sdntaard one. Hes trying to be positive + polite. My favorite came from an agent who contacted me after Fast Lane came out, and wanted to see my next so I sent him Bad Thoughts. His response: Are you insane? I think you need psychiatric care.tw. that email did push me to change a section where I knew I went too far, but nobody told me about--including an editor at Warner books who I had gone through 3 rewrites with, but ended up unable to buy the bookMy second favorite is from an editor who is no longer fortunately in the business, and is for a pair of novels. For Small Crimes, she rejected it saying to my agent This is a character-driven novel, and as you know, I prefer plot-driven novels. For Outsourced, she wrote back to my agent This is a plot-driven novel, and as you know, I prefer character-driven novels. I don know if she remembered how she rejected Small Crimes and was just busing my agents chops, or what, but I always found those two amusing.--Dave http:yrerwglki.com [url=http:zfgiodjgqjg.com]zfgiodjgqjg[url] [link=http:rbqkqx.com]rbqkqx[link]

Another terrific ienvrtiew, Richard. You do ask the best questions.Doc, I agree with your idea of criminals feeling entitlement. I live in New Orleans, which is recurring on the list of murder capitals of the world. The youths and adults who are picked up for murder show absolutely no remorse and take no responsibility. Life is cheap and short and they get what they can take. A good part of that attitude is due to a revolving door justice system here. They know they will be out in no time and witnesses are too afraid to testify. Great answers and best wishes with the novels.

Steph, It was the fact that the first two books hadn been translated that led me to think this seeris might be OK to start at any book. It seems really strange that they haven been translated as Im sure we are all missing out on some vital character building. Ill try to learn the seeris lesson now
